With the Blood Moon risen in the sky, Lloyd's group gaze sadly upon the petrified Egalt and Rontu. Arin turns to Kai, hoping he can teach the rest of them how to do Rising Dragon, but Kai lacks confidence in his ability to do so. Lloyd then receives another vision of the ritual to come and deems that they must travel to the Wyldness to try and stop Lord Ras from freeing the Forbidden Five. Meanwhile, in Mysterium, Gandalaria, Cole, and Zane are locked in battle with Administration agents in mechs, with Cole employing his elemental mech while Gandalaria uses her crystal ball to attack.
Beneath Gandalaria's monastery, Bonzle is confronted by Jay, though she senses that he's not as committed as his various comrades. Jay admits that he doesn't remember what he did before joining the Administration; unexpectedly, Gandalaria's Sprite confronts him and reflects his image in Ninja robes. It also exposes that he still possesses Elemental power, though Jay is determined to keep that fact hidden. On the surface, Cole and Zane's fight gets harder when the Administration agents split their smaller mechs off from the larger ones.
Zane, however, boards a large mech and plugs himself into it in order to hack the Administration system, asking Cole and Gandalaria to keep the agents at bay as he attempts to activate a self-destruct function. In the attempt, the mech he's hijacked is damaged by another one and he's knocked offline. Cole promptly rushes to his defense, and Gandalaria is able to revive the Nindroid with a surge of magical energy. Zane quickly disables all the Administration mechs, also freeing a trapped Jiro in the process.
Rejoined by Bonzle, the three friends board Jiro and head for Gandalaria's storehouse in the Wyldness, where Gandalaria hopes to place Bonzle in a protective container. On the way, they run into the piece of the Cloud Kingdom that has been serving as Ras' base, and are forced to travel in stealth to avoid prowling Wolf Mask Warriors. Jordana, picking up on the approach of the Ninja, alerts Lord Ras, who orders her to use the dark magic she's begun studying to delay them. Though reluctant, Jordana follows his instructions, unleashing a lightning storm against the Destiny's Bounty 5.0.
Jordana's attack sends the airship into a dive and crash landing, with several of the Ninja being thrown from the craft in the process. Riyu manages to catch Arin as they're falling, while Kai, Sora, and Wyldfyre find themselves precariously perched on the Bounty on the edge of a cliff. Thinking quickly, the trio attempt to orchestrate a means of safely reaching Kai's climbing mech, only for the Bounty to plunge into the chasm they're hanging above. Luckily, Kai is able to reach his mech and then catch the younger Ninja and begin taking them all up the cliff.
Gandalaria and her companions soon arrive at the storehouse, which they manage to access after some difficulty. After some searching, Gandalaria locates the box she hopes will protect Bonzle, which only she will be able to open once it's sealed. Unfortunately, as she's in in the midst of the spell, another spell affects the box instead, and Bonzle's companions find themselves trapped in an energy shield by Jordana. After briefly gloating over her foes-though expressing frustration at their ongoing failure to recognize her-Jordana sets off with her captive.
Lloyd and Nya, having endured an ordeal falling down a particularly tall tree, set off in the direction of the Blood Moon. Elsewhere, Arin and Riyu do the same, determined to do what they can even if they must do so alone.
