Senate Commando Captain is a Star Wars minifigure based off a character from the Star Wars: The Clone Wars television series of the same name. He was released in 2010.

Description

The Senate Commando Captain is entirely blue with white markings that distinguish it from the Senate Commando. His helmet is a piece which is exclusive to this minifigure and the Senate Commando. The visor of his helmet is also smaller than that of the regular Senate Commando.

Background

Senate Commando Captains were officers in the Senate Commandos, a group of elite soldiers within the Senate Guard, who frequently acted as bodyguards for Chancellor Palpatine and various Senators. The only physical difference between a Senate Commando Captain and an average Senate Commando is the white markings on the Captain's blue armour.

Lego.com Description

LEGO.com-icon-yellow.png This is a description taken from LEGO.com. Do not modify it. (visit this item's product page)

A Senate Commando Captain leads lower-ranking commandos on their missions and security details, both on and off the Republic capitol world of Coruscant.

Notes

  • Like previous Senate Commandos, the head of the Commando is that of a Clone Trooper, even though in the Star Wars Universe, Senate Commandos are not clones.
  • A Senate Commando Captain's visor is proportionately smaller than that of a regular Senate Commando.
  • In the Summer 2010 UK Argos catalogue, the Senate Commando Captain is called a 'Senate Commando Officer'.
  • Like a standard Senate Commando, the captain has the same ridge/crest on his helmet, even though in "Star Wars: The Clone Wars", his ridge/crest is much larger.
