Shang-Chi is a Marvel Super Heroes minifigure released in 2021 as part of the Shang-Chi sub-theme.
Background[]
From a young age, Xu Shang-Chi was raised to become a deadly assassin by his father, Wenwu, leader of the Ten Rings organization. However, he was so overcome with guilt from his first mission that he abandoned the Ten Rings, hiding out in San Francisco under the name "Shaun". Years later, he and his sister Xialing were tracked down by their father's agents. They were ultimately forced to return to the headquarters of the Ten Rings, where Wenwu sought their help in reviving their deceased mother. After it became clear that Wenwu's attempt to do so would unleash an ancient evil back into the world, Shang-Chi and Xialing turned against him, culminating in a final battle between Shang-Chi and his father.
Throughout his journey, Shang-Chi was accompanied by Katy, a close friend of his who met him in San Francisco and worked as as chauffeur alongside him. She later would train in archery so she could fight by his side.
