Shintaro is the one hundred and forty-fifth episode of Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu, and the first episode of season thirteen.

Plot[]

On a day off, Cole is relaxing with the newly completed Prime Empire video game while the other Ninja are attending to chores, though Lloyd is persuaded to join him. After Jay and Nya notice Master Wu seeming despondent, Lloyd tries to figure out what's wrong. As it turns out, Wu is feeling both wearied by his great age and unneeded, as he has contributed little or nothing to the recent victories of his students against Aspheera or in Prime Empire and the Never-Realm. Misako and Lloyd try to cheer him up, but he remains despondent.

The Postman then arrives with a surprising letter: an invitation to the kingdom of Shintaro to attend Princess Vania's birthday party. The Ninja accept, and Misako strongarms Wu into joining them, and they are soon flying to Shintaro aboard the refurbished Destiny's Bounty. While en route, they are attacked by Dire Bats, vicious predators that soon disable their craft. Fortunately, they are rescued by Hailmar and the Shintaro Royal Guard, who are able to carry the Bounty the remainder of the way to their destination.
