Class 4 article
"Soon, their land, their chi, even the very warmth beneath their skins... It will all be ours!"
―Sir Fangar

Sir Fangar is the leader of the Sabre-Tooth Tiger Tribe, and appears as a minifigure in Summer of 2014. Sir Fangar is the main antagonist of 2014's second wave and the leader of the Ice Clans.

Background

Long before mount Cavora rose from the ground, Fangar (as he was formerly known) lived among the primitive hunter tribes and not yet evolved current tribes in Chima. The pheonix tribe, hoping to enlighten their primal brethren, invited the hunters to join them on the peak of Cavora and use their educational resources. Fangar excelled above his peers in knowledge learning nearly all there was to learn in the pheonixes' institutions. Fangar became ambitious, believing he had the adequate knowledge and skill to conquer Chima in it's entirety. Now calling himself "Sir Fangar", he gathered an army and razed everything in his path; None of the other primal animals could stop him. The pheonixes took action, saving as many animals as possible, then preforming "The Great Illumination". The Great Illumination was a ritual requiring 8 pieces of armor that both raised Mt. Cavora and sunk The Gorge of Eternal Depth(and the hunters along with it). The ritual drained the gorge(and the surrounding area) of heat, freezing the hunters.

After the battle in the scorpion cave, Laval gave CHI to Scorm, telling him to use it wisely. Later, Scorm threw it into a crevice after seeing what his desire for power did to him (made him broken, lonely and defeated) into a crevice and said "No more Chi, EVER!", and it fell to where Sir Fangar was. There was a glimpse of the ice cave and himself frozen. The CHI reanimated him, later Scorm tossed more CHI down the gorge allowing Sir Fangar to reanimate the rest of the Ice Tribes. In episode 28, he leads the Ice Clan to battle the tribes in Chima, but the Ice Clan wins.

Sir Fangar is the leader of the Ice Hunters who are menacing the land of Chima. Smart, unpredictable and dangerous, he intends to conquer Chima and then remake it into what he wants it to be. Sir Fangar is very aggressive and keeps his army on the move, but his unwillingness to retreat has cost him in battle. Along with taking over Chima, Sir Fangar hopes to “collect” and freeze one of every tribe, including the Phoenix, as trophies.

Notes

  • He is voiced by Chris Durchand in Legends of Chima: The Animated Series.
  • He along with all extinct tribes are resurrected at the end of Episode 26.
  • It is shown that he and the Ice Clan don't know anything about CHI.
  • He is the oldest antagonist of Legends of Chima, as he is shown to be thousands of years old.
  • His eyes are purple in Legends of Chima: The Animated Series, yet on his minifigure they are white.
  • He is interested in having Li'ella as his queen.
  • Sir Fangar has the same cape as Cragger in 2013, except it is white.
  • He is the arch-enemy of Fluminox.
  • According to the flashback, Fangar, along with the other "ground born" were welcomed up into the phoenix city for education and civilizing. Fangar rose above his peers and was among Fluminox's "best students". However, after years of studying, Fangar felt he had learned all there was to learn and set his eyes on a more ambitious goal; taking over Chima. The now self-dubbed Sir Fangar built an army and crushed any thing that came in his way. Eventually, Sir Fangar reached Mt. Cavora with his army. The pheonixes had only one chance left. They preformed a ritual called the Great Illumination which drastically changed the landscape and banished Sir Fangar's army into the Gorge of eternal Depth, freezing them over the years, losing flesh (The Purple) and exposing bones (The Transparent Blue).
