Spider-Girl is a female superhero aligned with Spider-Man, though her outfit stylistically resembles the Venom symbiote/black costume of the hero rather than his traditional blue and red attire.

Background

Jessie Drew is the counterpart to Jessica Drew AKA Spider-Woman who hails from Earth-1610 or the Ultimate Universe.

Jessie was an artificially-aged clone of Peter Parker who was created by Doctor Octopus to be a C.I.A. agent in-return for a pardon for his past crimes. Unlike Peter, she had the ability to create organic webbing from her finger tips, but has all of his other abilities.

Due to a lab-accident caused by that reality's Carnage, Jessie's fellow Peter-clones Kaine, Tarantula and Scorpion broke-free with the resolve to destroy the original Peter Parker's life. Jessie however chose to take up the identity of Spider-Girl to protect Peter from the clones, becoming an ally to him in the process.

Following the death of her Peter Parker years later, Jessie would become an agent of S.H.I.E.L.D. and both a mentor and ally to the new Spider-Man, Miles Morales. Jessie would also become one of the more predominate Spider heroes of the Spiderverse.

Notes

  • Despite being named Spider-Girl, her costume resembles the one formerly worn by the Spider-Woman from Miles Morales' universe before she took on the Black Widow title. Additionally, her official Lego.com description describes her as "Petra Parker" from the Ultimate Spider-Man TV series despite lacking any resemblance.
