The Mad Scientist featured may be an amalgam of Victor Frankenstein and Dr. Jekyll. The Jekyll aspect is evident from the character's alternate face, which bears a remarkable likeness to the 1932 film depiction of Dr. Jekyll's own alternating personality, Mr. Hyde.

Actually this set contains Dr. Frankenstein and his monster, A common mistake is to call the monster Frankenstein, but the is not the case. The "Mad Scientist" is Dr. Frankenstein. Although you have not done that, Given that Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde are different characters and the likeness is somewhat subjective, Also there never being any mention of Dr Jekyll and Mr Hyde regarding this set. I think its unlikely that this is an amalgamation of the said two characters. Gladiatoring 21:02, November 29, 2010 (UTC)

The alternate face bears extreme resemblance to common depictions (such as the classic film image) of Mr Hyde however. Looking at stills and comparing, that's hardly deniable. Also, both cases share extreme contrast between the different sides of the characters. Perhaps amalgam was a stretch, but this atleast seems like a reference.(71.161.160.186 15:43, December 6, 2010 (UTC))
