An Unexpected Journey?

  • I'm not sure if An Unexpected Journey is really the right name for this, as the license, if successful, is set to cover BOTH Hobbit movies, and, while An Unexpected Journey IS the name of the first film, I doubt they will create a separate subtheme for each one. -Cligra Join the redlink war!
"LEGO® THE LORD OF THE RINGS construction sets are slated for a rolling global launch beginning in June 2012 in the United States, with LEGO THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY scheduled for later in the year." http://aboutus.lego.com/en-US/PressRoom/CorporateNews/article/380673.aspx Agent Swipe(talk)
  • Why don't we just rename it The Hobbit and say if the license is succesful, the The Lord of The Rings theme will cover both The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey and whatever the sequel is. --Berrybrick (Talk) It's a Christmas miracle, Mr. Freeze! XMAS.PNG 16:10, December 17, 2011 (UTC)
Works for me... -Cligra Join the redlink war!
Okay, what's the sequel? Was it There and back again or something like that? --Berrybrick (Talk) It's a Christmas miracle, Mr. Freeze! XMAS.PNG 16:20, December 17, 2011 (UTC)
Actually the second one wasn't named yet. 0.o
"In late 2012, LEGO THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY will give fans of all ages a chance to build and play out the fantastical story and new characters of the legendary Middle-earth adventures depicted in The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey from Academy Award®-winning filmmaker Peter Jackson, slated to premiere December 14, 2012." Agent Swipe(talk)
Now I see. But still, for future reference, what's the sequel? --Berrybrick (Talk) It's a Christmas miracle, Mr. Freeze! XMAS.PNG 16:22, December 17, 2011 (UTC)
There and back again (not sure what bits are capsed) -Cligra Join the redlink war!
Actually the second ones name wasn't released yet. . . Agent Swipe(talk)
Everywhere I've read about it (and I mean everywhere) has said There and back again. -Cligra Join the redlink war!
Yes, it's The Hobbit: There and Back Again, as seen here. Nickthegeek 23:46, June 25, 2012 (UTC)
Oh I am sorry I guess I was wrong, sorry about that. But my point is that right now they are calling the theme, "LEGO The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey"

Poll

Hi all! I want to talk about the categorys "Subthemes" and "Subtheme of" for the themes "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" and "The Lord of the Rings". For me it is fact, that this both themes are on the same category level, because they are two storys from Middle-earth. Both of this themes have to be supreme categorys in my opinion. So my variation for the pages is:

The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

  • Subtheme of:
  • Subthemes:

Section "See Also" on the page with following linkings

  • The Lord of the Rings
  • The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
  • The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
  • The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

The Lord of the Rings

  • Subtheme of:
  • Subthemes:
    • The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
    • The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
    • The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

Section "See Also" on the page with following linkings

  • The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring

  • Subtheme of: The Lord of the Rings
  • Subthemes:

Section "See Also" on the page with following linkings

  • The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
  • The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
  • The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers

  • Subtheme of: The Lord of the Rings
  • Subthemes:

Section "See Also" on the page with following linkings

  • The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
  • The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King
  • The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

The Lord of the Rings: The Return of the King

  • Subtheme of: The Lord of the Rings
  • Subthemes:

Section "See Also" on the page with following linkings

  • The Lord of the Rings: The Fellowship of the Ring
  • The Lord of the Rings: The Two Towers
  • The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey

So, what are you all thinking about that? Are you agree with me or have you an other opinion? I will bow to the democratic majority.

Kind regards, Der Herr der Steine 02:02, February 28, 2012 (UTC)

I still think that The Lord of the Rings should be the supertheme and The Hobbit, The Fellowship of the Ring, The Two Towers, and The Return of the King should be the subthemes, like they are now. --Berrybrick (Talk) 20:20, February 28, 2012 (UTC)

Sets source

I know some people doubt my source, so here is the original. It is the exact same source for Bag End. [1]. --LSHF (Talk) | Summer means relaxation, fun, and 6873 Spider-man's Doc Ock Ambush Box art spiderman.png 6873 box in.png.jpg

Sorry, I don't read German. :P And that isn't the one you've been linking to. --Berrybrick (Talk) 16:33, July 12, 2012 (UTC)
Neither do I, (PS: I read it using this [2]. And I know it's not the one I've been linking to, I didn't think it mattered. --LSHF (Talk) | Summer means relaxation, fun, and 6873 Spider-man's Doc Ock Ambush Box art spiderman.png 6873 box in.png.jpg
I was under the impression that it was a list of rumors that Lord of the Brick had posted. --Berrybrick (Talk) 16:38, July 12, 2012 (UTC)
I would never (purposely) make pages for rumors) I just thought, it was the source for Bag End, so it was trustworthy.--LSHF (Talk) | Summer means relaxation, fun, and 6873 Spider-man's Doc Ock Ambush Box art spiderman.png 6873 box in.png.jpg

Sub theme vs. Related Theme

As some of you know The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey now has a site on LEGO.com. So I that is proof that The Hobbit is a releated theme, not a sub theme.

Sets

Some of those sets aren't from An Unexpected Journey. Just Riddles for the Ring,An Unexpected Gathering,The Goblin King Battle and Attack of the Wargs are from An Unexpected Journey. I saw the movie yesterday. Irnakk Talk And the Empire will be defeated by Ewoks! Wicket W. Warrick SW.jpg

So 'Mirkwood Spiders and a few others are from the Desolation of Smaug theme, then? Jeyo Lord VladekTalk The Forge 06:46, December 16, 2012 (UTC)
For the last time.. They are Unexpected Journey sets, released as "special preview sets" of the later trilogy (because the editing on the films was changed when it was broken into three) -Cligra Join the redlink war!
