The Tasmanian Devil, often referred to as Taz, is a minifigure introduced in 2021 as part of the 71030 Looney Tunes Series. He's a ferocious, albeit dim-witted carnivore with a really short temper. He has the ability to spin around like a vortex and eat anything in his sights.

Background[]

Taz made his first appearance in the 1954 Bugs Bunny cartoon Devil May Hare. He only made five appearances during the initial run of Looney Tunes cartoons, but would gain new popularity in the 1990s. He would even star in his own series Taz-Mania which ran from 1991 to 1995.

He was originally voiced by Mel Blanc, who also voiced Bugs Bunny, Daffy Duck, Porky Pig, Wile E. Coyote, Marvin the Martian, Tweety, Sylvester, and Speedy Gonzales. He is currently voiced by Jim Cummings, who also voices Winnie the Pooh, Tigger, and the Cheshire Cat.
