"This is the Way"
―The Armorer to The Tribe

"The Armorer" was a female Mandalorian Armorer who served the Tribe during the New Republic Era. Following the Galactic Empire's Great Purge, she resided with the Tribe in a covert on the planet Nevarro, where she forged armor and weapons for her fellow Mandalorians. Around 9 ABY, she forged a new set of armor for the Mandalorian bounty hunter Din Djarin using the beskar he provided. During this time, she stopped an altercation between Djarin and another member of the Tribe, Paz Vizsla, when she reminded them of the way of life they were supposed to follow.

In the aftermath of an attack on the covert by the Empire, the Armorer made it her mission to salvage what beskar she could from the deceased Mandalorians. When she met with Djarin and his allies, she helped him restock his supplies and declared the formation of his clan after creating his signet. She then stayed behind in order to continue collecting the beskar and cover Djarin and his allies' escape, before evacuating herself to parts unknown. Eventually, she established a temporary refuge aboard a space station with Paz Vizsla.

The two were eventually joined by Din Djarin, who was in possession of not only a spear forged from beskar but also the legendary Darksaber. The Armorer disapproved of the beskar spear, and Djarin promptly delivered it to her to be melted down and reforged into armor. This included a mail shirt for the foundling Grogu. The Armorer would then instruct Djarin in the proper wielding of the Darksaber before witnessing a duel between him and Paz over possession of the weapon. Djarin won the duel, but when he admitted to removing his helmet in the presence of others, the Armorer declared that he was no longer a Mandalorian.

In response to Djarin’s inquiry as to how he might be forgiven for his transgression, the Armorer responded that he must immerse himself in the Living Waters of Mandalore. After Djarin departed, the Armorer and Paz eventually gathered more of the Tribe and established a new covert on a remote but dangerous world. Djarin would visit the Armorer there, and she would reiterate the requirement that he travel to Mandalore. When Djarin did so, the Armorer was able to verify that the sample he brought as proof was indeed from the Living Waters. She not only welcomed Djarin back into the Tribe, but also his companion Bo-Katan Kryze, who had also been immersed in the waters and had not since removed her helmet.

The Armorer would forge a new Paul from for Bo-Katan, who disclosed that she had seen a mythosaur beneath the Living Waters. Later, the Armorer forged additional armor for Grogu. She and the rest of the Tribe would then return to Nevarro to help liberate it from a force of pirates. Though they were welcomed by the grateful populace, the Armorer determined that the time had come for her people to retake Mandalore. As part of this strategy, she called upon Bo-Katan to act as an ambassador to her own former followers.

United in purpose, the two groups of Mandalorians returned to their homeworld. They soon found it to be occupied by Moff Gideon‘s Imperial Remnant, including a force of beskar armored Imperial Commandos. The Armorer joined her fellows in battling these enemies, apparently annihilating the entire force. She and Bo-Karan then led a ceremony in which the Armorer herself relit the Great Forge of Mandalore.
