The Call of Home is the one hundred and eighty-second episode of Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu, and the second episode of season fifteen.

Plot[]

A ship on the Endless Sea is caught in a storm, and one of the crew is washed overboard. However, just when he seems doomed to drown, a glowing dragon rescues him and returns him to his ship. When the sailors express thanks, the dragon stuns them by responding, and one of the sailors recognizes the voice of their unexpected friend: it belongs to Nya. Showing a vague recognition for the name, she swims out into the depths, curiously pondering the familiarity. Another water elemental then appears before her, questioning why she saved the sailor's life, feeling that it is not the way of the sea.

Nya explains that the act felt right to her, and begins questioning who she is or used to be. On the advice of her new acquaintance, she first searches the bottom of the sea but finds only a shipwreck. Upon examining the surface, she finds the memorial lanterns, and reading their messages to her jogs her memory of herself and her friends, including Jay, Kai, and Maya. Returning to human form, Nya makes her way to the lighthouse, hoping to find Jay there. She finds the building empty but with signs of Jay's recent habitation, but is forced to return to the sea as her body struggles to stay together.

Finding the other elemental, Nya reveals that she has remembered who she is; moreover, she is now able to recognize her acquaintance as Nyad, the original Master of Water who long ago battled Wojira. Desperate to find a way to become human again before she once again loses her memory, Nya presses Nyad, but Nyad believes the task to be impossible. Her comments about elemental power inspire Nya, however, who realizes that if she can find a way to remove her elemental powers, she can become human once more. Though such a thing was once her greatest fear, Nya now fears forgetting her friends again more, and sets off to accomplish her new mission.
