The Flash (Jay Garrick)

Jay Garrick, also known as the first Flash, is a DC Comics minifigure released in 2020.

Background[]

Jay Garrick was a college student who accidentally inhaled heavy water vapors, which activated a metagene. This gave him superhuman speed, as well as extremely fast reflexes. He donned a red shirt with a lightning bolt, and a helmet with wings, which belonged to his father, a World War I veteran. Due to his lack of a mask, Jay ultimately made his identity as the Flash public. The Flash soon became one of the best-known superheroes of the Golden Age, and became a founding member of the Justice Society of America, which also included Doctor Fate, Spectre, Hawkman, Hour-Man, Sandman, Al Pratt, and Alan Scott (the first Green Lantern).

In the CW series, The Flash, he is played by John Wesley Shipp who also played The Flash (Barry Allen) in the 1990-91 series, The Flash.
