The Kaiju Protocol is the one hundred and twenty-fourth episode of Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu, and the twenty-sixth episode of season eleven.

Plot[]

At the Monastery of Spinjitzu, Wu and P.I.X.A.L. attempt to reach the Ninja in the Never-Realm using Mystake's recipe for Traveler's Tea. However, their efforts fail, and Wu becomes angry that the Ninja prevented him from going in search of Zane himself. Strengthened batches of tea open portals to the Underworld, Cloud Kingdom, and First Realm; P.I.X.A.L. then questions whether the Never-Realm might not be unreachable by Traveler's Tea. Opening yet another portal, they quickly learn that it leads to the Departed Realm, and to their horror the Preeminent emerges and begins slithering towards Ninjago City.

Rushing to the monastery's vehicle bay, P.I.X.A.L. unveils a new Samurai X Mech, apparently prepared as part of "Protocol Kaiju". Flying to the city as Samurai X, she saves Gayle Gossip and Vinny from the creature before engaging it in a fierce battle. Despite the power of her new mech, the Preeminent proves too much for her, and the fight is carried to the vicinity of Borg Tower. With her mech damaged, Samurai X desperately plugs directly into the city's power grid, despite Wu's warning that it could destroy her as well as he rmech.

Asking Wu to convey her love to Zane in the event she doesn't survive, Samurai X plugs in the mech and faces off with the Preeminent. Despite a brief scare, she survives, and an awe-inspired Wu thanks her and forgives her for her role in preventing his journey to the Never-Realm. The two use the last of their Traveler's Tea to send the Preeminent back to the Departed Realm. However, P.I.X.A.L. persuades Wu to follow his own usual counsel to the Ninja and not give up hope that their friends will find their own way home.
