The Never-Realm is the one hundred and fourteenth episode of Ninjago: Masters of Spinjitzu, and the sixteenth episode of season eleven.

Plot[]

An unseen woman narrates the sad fate of her home in the Never-Realm, which has fallen prey to the evil Ice Emperor and his Blizzard Samurai in the past decades. As she finishes, a portal opens to admit the Land Bounty and the Ninja, who have arrived in search of Zane. Unfortunately, their surprise landing results in the Land Bounty ending up upside down before falling off a cliff. The Ninja manage to escape, but in the process Cole loses the bag of Traveler's Tea that was their intended means of returning home.

Traveling into the snowy wastes, the Ninja are soon suffering from the cold, particularly as Kai's powers have not recovered from Aspheera's theft. The Ninja are briefly menaced by wolves, who retreat from the sight of one of their own encased in ice. The Ninja come across a number of people similarly trapped, and discover that they are still alive. Unable to help them, the Ninja press on only to be attacked by the wolves, though these are scared off by a trio of Ice Fishers, natives who escort the Ninja to their home village.

The Ninja are introduced to Sorla, an elder of the village, and astonish the villagers with word of their origins and quest. Consulting a mystical fire, Sorla learns that Zane is at the Ice Emperor's castle; despite her warnings, the Ninja remain determined to rescue him. Unbeknownst to them, the villainous General Vex has learned of their presence through a magical crystal, and informs the Ice Emperor. At his urging, the Emperor sends forth his Blizzard Samurai warriors to attack the newcomers.

Notes[]

  • This is one of two episodes in which Graeme Palisade (accidentally spelled "Pailsade") is credited as the Ice Emperor.
