  • Does anybody else think this set should be a lot bigger than what the preliminary pictures make it look? This set represents what is basically the climax for the whole trilogy, and it's not even the biggest set of the Return of the King line for 2013. I feel like they should increase the minifigure count big-time, even if it means they have to raise the price on it. It's a shame that they don't include the armored troll that Aragorn has to fight in the movie because that could be a really cool addition. If not that then at least have a few more Orcs and Uurk-Hai, and/or Gimli and Legolas. I really wish the set would include the Tower of Barad-Dur, even if they have to bump the price point up to $80 or $100. Really can't wait for sets of The Siege of Minas Tirith and the Battle of Pelennor Fields.

    • I agree, but why should Barad-Dur be included? Barad-dur and Morannon are 2 entirely different locations. for the rest of your message,I completely agree.

and yeah Barad-dur would be a cool set,but it's like the biggest building in LoTR (second biggest is Minas Tirith).

    • The Black Gate should have the figures it already came with, but with the troll, at least one Gondor soldier, Merry or Pippin in armor (or both), and maybe another orc.

    • I think they should add another tower and probably add 2-3soldiers and about 2 more orcs

    • I think they should add a ring wraith and a fell beast cause two orcs and an ambassador ain't going to stop anything from coming into Sauron's realm

    • The Ultimate Spinjitzu Master: I have seen the pictures, I too think the set should have been bigger, or more minifigs. I don't like it when Lego makes sets the are small when they should be big. They should've put either more minifigs, or made the set bigger. I'm disappointed with the set.

    • They should release an expansion pack like the wall of helms deep but instead they release the other tower and with it some soldiers, orcs, and a armored troll

    • To put 184.17's point a little differently: yes, it was the climax battle, but remember, it was just a BIG DISTRACTION. The real climactic set would be Mount Doom.

Maybe. It's possible. But since the lack of sets in the 2nd wave, I had the feeling the theme will be discontinued soon. There will be a 2nd Hobbit wave though but who knows about LoTR. That's only what I was thinking. It's possible for another LoTR wave aswell. but this is kinda pointless.

I have an extremely weird feeling they're not going to release Orthanc in the second wave, but like a loose set a few months later. Like with the Black Pearl. A good reason I think of this is that we got pictures of all the sets except Orthanc.

It would be unrealistic for LEGO to release Carchost and Narchost. Look how tall they are in comparison to the middle two towers. If LEGO wanted to make Carchost and Narchost to scale they would have to make them each at least a yard tall. Also, they would not be thick enough to stand up on their own. They need the mountains on either side, and LEGO would never make those. Besides, the main body of the wall has already been released.

    • This set is okay. I like the merge of this set and another of the same model. That looks great. But they should make an extension pack like the Uruk-Hai Army set for Helm's Deep. List of sets they should make for 2014: Lothlórien Minas Tirith Amon Hen Balrog (Ultrabuild style?) with bridge of Khazad-Dum Edoras Barad-Dur
