They should discontinue both that boring Disney movie no one has ever heard of and Thundercats and pay more attention on how popular LoTR is.

      This is ridiculous.

If The Lord of the Rings was popular enough that they would get rid of one of the best themes in years and Chima (which is so-so) then they wouldn't have to release an IP castle theme to appeal to a seemingly younger demographic.

I never saw a single person in the store buying Chima. LEGO pays too much attention to Chima.

Anyways, LoTR itself is more popular than LEGO LoTR. This seems a bit obvious, doesn't it?

Yes? You're point? Not everybody who likes LoTR buys LEGO LoTR, and not everybody who likes LEGO buys LEGO LoTR....

It's far from the worst theme. There are many, many themes that are better than it, but it's not that bad.

    • Lego unfortunately won't discontinue this dumb theme until 2015. And I agree with most people, pay more attention to LOTR and the Lone Ranger, stuff that's not like the nature version of pokemon, or buildings that look like 2 year olds built them

There have been much worse, that LEGO boasted even more so than Chima, such as Galidor. Even though Galidor paved the way for future LEGO sets and elements such as those used in Exo-Force, It was still a flunk, and was not very good all-in-all.

      Heh.

You know that even if LEGO does do that, good will ultimately win. Otherwise, what are they teaching kids?

And if you honestly agree that Chima should be the theme where the break the unwritten rule, you are just hating on it, which gets old really fast. We get it. You don't like it. I don't like Exo-Force, so I rarely comment in those conversations.
