Do you think this was necessary?

    • Yes.

    • I dunno. They're going to brand anything they own with the logo. Might as well get used to it.

    • Having the Disney logo makes me not want to buy the sets (except for the Clone Wars and a few Rebels sets). The Lucasfilm logo wasn't on there when they owned it. I think Disney is just advertising unneccesarily.

    • Tell me again HOW it looks nice? My best bet is that you're a Disney fan. Even the logo itself looks bad (in some ways) and on a Lego Star Wars set, it's just worse.

      I'll unfollow this

    • I thinks it's unnecassary. I mean, if this was a Pirates of the Caribbean set (shame it discontinued), the Disney logo is okay. But, like Ninja of Fire said above, the Lucasfilm logo wasn't on there, and neither should Disney's. I mean, it just kind of seems like excessive advertising if you start seeing Disney logos on Expanded Universe sets.

And the Star Wars franchise isn't even an original Disney franchise.

Yeah. Did you know that Disney now owns Marvel Comics?! That explains the Ultimate Spider-Man, Avengers Assemble, and the Hulk and the Agents of SMASH series.

Fun Fact: DID YOU KNOW that, because Disney now (sadly) owns Marvel, there's gonna be an Ultimate Spider-Man/JESSIE crossover? That's just STUPID!!!!

How is it fair? Lucasfilm never put their logo on it and now Disney just takes the SW franchise and they think that they need to tell anyone that doesn't know already that they have taken it.

    • I like the logo for this year's sets. Sabine Style. :)

I think the sets are awesome. 'Specially the Ghost. Took me all stinkin' day to build when I got it, but it was totally worth it. Now I just need to get the Phantom and the Ghost will be complete.

True very true. For all the other Disney LEGOs, Disney has their logo on the boxes that could be why, too.

    • Lucas film only made star wars so their would be no need to add it to the boxes but Disney (I'm sorry but I like it so I see no problem with their logo on the boxes) now has ownership of Lucas film and since the Disney logo is on all the other licensed Disney themes I see no problem with it on the star wars sets. Also they might be advertising that they now own Lucas film but that's ok because EVERY company advertises even lego.
