Class 4 article
This article is about the minifigure. For the subtheme, see Time Twisters.

The Time Twister[1] is a Time Cruisers minifigure from the Board Games set GA04 Time Cruisers Board Game, released in 1997.

Description[]

The Time Twister wears entirely black clothing, with white hands and head. His torso is printed with a zippered jacket worn over a red shirt, and he wears a top hat atop his head. His head is the standard skeleton skull introduced in 1995.

Background[]

The Time Twister is a crafty villain, seeking to steal artifacts from the Blue, Brown, Green, and Red Cruisers attempting to prove that Dr. Cyber's time travel really exists.[1] He travels clockwise along the circular path around the turntable, moving before each Time Cruiser. If the Time Twister passes a Time Cruiser who is not on safe space, he will steal an artifact or (if there are no artifacts to steal) force the Time Cruiser to skip their next turn. However, Time Cruisers can safely pass the Time Twister.[2]

Ordinarily, the Time Twister stays on the Time Twister path and moves with each player's turn, either by rolling the black die or occasionally by using Vortex Cards. However, as an optional rule, a fifth player can directly control the Time Twister and traverse the entire board. According to this ruleset, the Time Twister can only obtain artifacts by stealing them from Time Cruisers, rather than picking them up in each LEGO world.[1]

The crafty Time Twister can get in your way just when you least expect it. He moves every time you move. And he's out to get your hard-earned artifacts!

The crafty Time Twister moves in a clockwise circular path around the turntable. He moves every time a player moves. If you must travel on his circle, be on alert! If you are on the circle and the Time Twister passes you or lands on your space, you must put one of your artifacts back on the board in its original position unless you are on a safe space - one that pictures Dr. Cyber. If you do not have any artifacts, then you must skip your next turn. However, if you need to pass the Time Twister at anytime, for instance to reach another world, you may do so safely.
