Background[]
The turtle in Minecraft is a passive mob native to coastal regions. A turtle will eventually return to the beach where it spawned, laying its eggs there. Upon hatching, a baby turtle will drop a turtle shell which can be used for crafting a helmet that grants the ability to stay underwater longer without suffocating.
