"Looks like I started a sort of tradition here :P"
―CJC95

Hello, and welcome to the 3rd Annual review of Brickipedia. The review was started by fellow administrator CJC95 back in 2010 and has been a sort of ritual here at Brickipedia ever since. Since then the review has been collated by myself since the 2011 annual review to present with the help of users like you giving kind messages to various other users.

The aim of all this is to recognise each others achievements and congratulate each other, hopefully raising moral too.

Brickipedian of the Month

Before we start with all the personal comments, I would like to give my thanks to those who were Brickipedian of the Month this year. They were:

  • January – Berrybrick
  • February – Agent Swipe
  • March – Lego Whovian
  • April – CzechMate
  • May – Darth henry
  • June – Clone gunner commander jedi
  • July – 1999bug
  • August – LSCStealthNinja
  • September - Jeyo
  • October - Power Jim
  • November - Drew1200
  • December - BobaFett12d

We also have introduced awards for reviews and customs but it would take too much time to list so I've left it out. This is not to say that these awards are of less value than the content awards listed above.

General Comments

In no particular order:

"To all the admins and countless others on this wiki who guided me through my first year. (Brickiversary was Oct. 21)"
―Legosuperheroesfan
"There are many more, it would take too long to mention all of them, suffice to say that my time here has been mostly pleasurable. It has been a good year."
―SuperSpyX
"This is my first year on Bricki, having joined in April, and I must say that I love it here. This was the first wiki, despite editing extensively on the Tron wiki (and not-so-extensively on others), that I felt accepted in. It's a great community here and it feels good to be a regular editor on a wiki that is among the 10 most active. Although I joined without knowing the now inactive "old-timers" (LegOtaku, GameGear, Samdo, Lcawte and more), it was clearly visible to me how amazing this wiki and many of its current contributors are. According to those who were here the last few years, things have greatly improved since 2010 and 2011. All I can say is, things will most likely keep on improving from here. ""
―Jeyo
"I think that his has been a good year, and one of the best we've seen on the wiki. The atmosphere has been mostly very positive and helpful."
―Captain Jag
"I would like to give some recognition to the administrative team, the active editors who work hard to keep this wiki one of the best, and our readers who actually give a damn about what we write. Can't wait to read the review this year, good luck SKP!"
―NBP 3.0
"I think that 2012 on Brickipedia has been great. We've already had two events for NightblaseSaber's F12 blog, and were about to have a third. I've really enjoyed those. The general atmosphere on the wiki seems to have got better as the year has gone on, and we've got a lot of new admins (at least 3). So…yeah, I think that 2012 has been great on Brickipedia. I have really enjoyed being part of the team.

I'd also like to thank all of the other good editors. Brickipedia has improved a lot since 2011!
"
―Agent Charge
"What a great year it's been! I've become an Admin and made some great new friends on here (Jeyo, Irankk). Prisinorzero left but I wont forget him and neither will Br1ck. Editing wise this year has been brilliant, not much else to say.

I'd just like to say that this year has been brilliant for me, I gained the Admin right, made my Wiki awesome and even set up a not so good YouTube channel (What an advertisement :P)
"
―Clone Gunner Commander Jedi
"Despite a few problems the year has been a good one. The new forums and questions board are now properly implemented. Chat on the whole seems pretty good and all the admins are friendly. I have gained chatmod rights which make me feel responsible for helping the wiki in my own small way. I would like to thank sevral users in particular for making my time here fun. CJC, Clone, Czech mate Br1ck and Zero (when he was here). In general I would like to thank all the admins and all the sensible users for making my time here fun."
―Brick Bobby
"First of all, I want to thank the Brickipedia founder for telling me that I was underage. He also taught me that anonymous people can edit as well. I also want to thank the people who deleted the spam about eating feces (inappropriate and disgusting, it was done on pages about future Creator sets). And finally, I want to thank the guy who sent me the links on the letter, even though I never used them. I'll look up his name soon.

From Squidmanescape Happy New Year!
"
―Squidmanescape
"I loved joining the community! It's been about under a year and I have 500+ edits. I've made great friends like, Storm, CGCJ, Irnakk, Jeyo, CM4S, LSCNuke, LSCStealthNinja, Czech, and hoards more. 1 failed attempt to be chat mod. Multiple blogs for customs which (hopefully everyone likes) I inspired others to do something I had just loved. I have many ideas for the wiki and customs I make. (Hopefully reviews too)

So, Thank you for giving me a thing that is not fake but pure friendship! Peace! Hopes for a great 2013 and more friends! (maybe chat mod :D)
"
―NuffSaid1995
"This is my year on Brickipedia (and my second bricki-birthday was yesterday!): Templates. Bots."
―UltrasonicNXT
"This yea has been my best, from getting BOTM and ROTM, to getting adminship with Czech and Clone. I've made a bunch of new friends and learned how things work around here."
―Darth Henry
"I must say, 2012 has been a pretty eventful year (both Bricki-wise and LEGO-wise). Lots of new admins, new users, new friends... some friends have left. Zero specifically. At first I didn't think much of him, but looking now, he was one of my best friends on here. I'm guessing he left to take care of his "new family".

@Everyone - Thank you for another amazing year here on Brickipedia.

Oh, and...

For all that stuff I've done. The insults, the blocks, everything..

I'm sorry.

I know, most of you will never forgive me for all that stuff, but it's the Internet. Come on. ;) I read it takes time to forgive people. And I think this year has taught me a whole new lesson.

Thanks to everyone!
"
―LEGO2013Helper
"A lot of things happened this year. Among the changes provided by the new forums, we now have a "LEGO Questions" Board that will, hopefully, begin taking the place of the entirely messed-up wikianswers LEGO. Of course, it still has a long ways to go, but it's a start. :P

Then there's Ninjago. I only started contributing to this wiki in late 2011, so I don't know if there's been a theme like this before (Bionicle, maybe?), but that theme seemed like it drew a lot of wikia contributors to blog posts and articles on this wiki, resulting in some really messy Ninjago pages that still need cleaning up as they tried their hand at editing. :P Anyway, it's kind of died down now, though I am wondering what will happen once Chima gets its turn. :P

Then there are the customs. I've seen users like Berrybrick and LegoIndy greatly improve in this area, and Bug and NBS, though they don't customize minifigs as regularly, are excellent as well, and the recent sigfig-making trends have also been enjoyable. I haven't been here long enough to tell if MOCs have improved, though they are certainly awesome. :D

Then, finally, I echo everything everyone has said about all the great individual users here. This is definitely my favourite online community, if not one of my favourite communities in general! Let's hope for another great year! :D"

―BrickfilmNut
"Fantastic year! For Lego and the community, several fantastic themes have been introduced or continued. The brickipedia community has flourished this year also, a very big congratulations to all the new Admins (especially my best friend, Clone). Big thanks to Knight, Clone, LEGO2013Helper (Though saying CM is far easier), although zero has now left the scene, I thank him for the good times we all shared when he was still here. Roll on 2013*!"
―Br1ck animat0r
"I suck at long speeches, forgive me. I've almost been here one year, have so many new friends (including: Jeyo, Irnakk, Knight, and many others), created over 100 pages, got chat moderator rights, rollback rights, and patroller rights, and reached 2000 edits. Hope next year is even better! :D Thanks to everyone for making 2013 eventful!"
―LazerzSoH
"It's been an "eventful" year. 7 new admins: Agent Charge, Agent Fuse, Jeyo, Darth henry, CGCJ, Drew, and meesa.

One of the biggest success stories of the year is Jeyo - started on this wiki, with none us knowing him - 5 months later - 5,000 edits and he's an admin.

My year has been eventful: Patroller, Rollback, Chatmod, and now Admin.

I would like to thank the whole admin team, Power Jim, Bug, Storm and the great NBS for a great year.
"
―CzechMate
