Volcano Explorer Iggy,[1] also known as scientist with heatsuit[2] and Lava Explorer,[3] is a City minifigure introduced in 2016.

Description[]

Unlike other Volcano Explorers and Volcano Workers, Iggy wears a unique silver heatsuit, including a silver version of the Hazmat Guy's helmet printed with "S-260C" and the Volcano Explorers' logo. His face is printed with sweatdrops and a frowning expression.

Background[]

Volcano Explorer Iggy was around volcanoes his whole life, making him ill-tempered. He was a scientist who helped the volcano explorers at their exploration base. He along with the volcano explorers set up a mobile lab and carried it using heavy-lift helicopter to get near to the volcano to discover the crystal elements inside.

In LEGO Quest & Collect, the Lava Explorer is a Magic Defender hero with the skills "Volcanic Eruptions", "Crater Discovery", and "Burn Removal".

In LEGO Legacy: Heroes Unboxed, Iggy is an Explorer support with the abilities Bad Vibrations, You Feel That?, Pressure Treated, and the Ultimate ability It's Gonna Blow!.

NAME: Lava Explorer
THEME: CITY
An explorer who comes to Volcano Land after hearing that it became active again. He doesn't function well in the heat so he wears a special suit that has air-conditioning. He loves having ice cream in a cool room so he ends up catching a cold all the time.

A sturdy support unit who shores up team defense while preparing an explosive attack. Exploring volcanoes is no joke, which is probably why this super-serious adventurer is such a downer at parties.

Trivia
Of all the City Explorers, Iggy is most famous for being all business. Spending his whole life around active volcanoes and wanton destruction has left him one cynical, ill-tempered Minifigure. Even seeing a coworker's mashed potato volcano will send Iggy off into a grimly poetic spiel on Mother Nature's untamable wrath. He doesn't want to be a wet blanket, but then again he does carry a wet blanket at all times for emergency situations.
