LEGO has created several themes based on the studio's films, starting with Harry Potter since 2001, and sets based on acquired properties such as DC Comics since 2006. The studio also produced The LEGO Movie franchise.

  • In The LEGO Movie, during MetalBeard's flashback of how he and his crew broke into Lord Business' building is defended by sharks with lasers; a reference to the "sharks with frickin' laser beams" line in Austin Powers: International Man of Mystery.
