The Wu-Bots serve as accessories of the Hydro Bounty. In Escape from Merlopia, P.I.X.A.L. deploys several of them to draw the pursuit of Kalmaar's torpedoes. This enables her to use Kalmaar's own ordinance to collapse a tunnel through which the Hydro Bounty is escaping, blocking Kalmaar and his Maaray Guards from further pursuit.
